PLUGGED - 30 years in the music biz

Welcome to PLUGGED SWEDEN, a distributor with its own import as well as wholesale end retail. PLUGGED distributes some of the most wellknown Nordic record labels: Gazell, Four Leaf Clover, Moserobie, Stunt and Storyville to name a few. Plugged started its operation in the mid 90's and are since 2002 operating as a limited company. The company is owned and operated by Teijo Agélii-Leskelä and Lena Agélii, music lovers and entrepreneurs. Our slogan is 'Quality Music & Merch for Quality Minded People'!

Teijo is the hard rock musician from Eskilstuna who put his artist dreams on the shelf, started writing songs and became a record producer. Lena from Stockholm laid the hairdresser scissors on the shelf, studied at art school, started styling artists and became a promotion manager. Together, we have made a mark in the Swedish music industry as talent developers and entrepreneurs since the mid-90s. Below is a selection of what we have done over the years:

1987-1997: Future Crew, a team of songwriters/producers including Teijo, creates the country/techno group Rednex's debut album Sex & Violins. One of the biggest Swedish international music exports of the 90s with more than 10 million records sold.
1995: Wish You Were Here written by Teijo and produced by Denniz Pop and Max Martin, is #1 in Germany for 11 consecutive weeks with Rednex. Also recorded and released with Blackmore's Night (Ritchie Blackmore, Deep Purple, Rainbow).
1999-2009: Plugged builds its own studio fascilities and makes recordings with, among others, the A-teens and the TV series 'Wannabe', which created the band Tribal Ink.
2003: The hard rock band Enemeis Swe, the first signing on their own label Plugged Records, they appear in the film Demon Hunter with Hello Hell, in the film series Peacemaker (spinoff of Suicidal Squad) and in Japanese video games with the song Powertrain.
2005: The punk/pop duo Shebang is created by Teijo & Lena. The debut album Go! and the singles Skater Girl, Sheena Is A Punkrocker and Romeo, written by Teijo and was the leading track in the film Eva & Adam, they all sold gold to double platinum.
2006: We create and launch the jazz/pop artist Caroline Wennergens' debut album Bossa Supernova (gold) and comes 3rd in Melodifestivalen with Different Kind of Love.
2007: We create and launch 3 albums and 5 singles with the pop band Caracola, who peak with the 2nd chance in Melodifestivalen with Smiling in Love.
2008: We create and launch the boy band What's Up! with two Melodifestivalen winners Eric Saade and Robin Stjernberg in the band. We released totally 1 album and 5 singles with the band.

2019/2020: We are closing down our physical record store and investing in online sales.
2021: We start the clothing brand Hagbard & Signe, with a focus on Norse mythology, together with Michael and Marina Christmansson from Grammofonbolaget, and their bulldog Bamse.



2025: Teijo launches the music company Northerland with a focus on Nordic music together with Michael Christmansson and Patrik Boman, music producers with extensive experience from various areas of activity in the music industry.
