Turns 70 and looks back on a long career on this album. Scott Hamilton has chosen material associated with many of the musicians he had collaborated with over the years. If he had more room, there would also be songs for Al Cohn, Gerry Wiggins, Benny Goodman, Flip Phillips, Ed Bickert, Arnett Cobb, Zoot Sims, Benny Carter, Hank Jones, Woody Herman, Jake Hanna and many more. He is fortunate to have known so many of his heroes. So many, in fact, that he may need to make another album or two!
