Bangalore-based jazz collector Gazdar has brought out the first complete discography of the great jazz bassist, Oscar Pettiford, listing his tune titles, dates, places and series of recordings. Pettiford was known for his melodic approach and subtle but strong beat, and this reference book traces his work from his first recorded session in 1940 through his final efforts in 1960.
